'Alive' and 'Cielo' mark the underground legend’s first original productions of 2025, out September 12.
Tokyo, September 12 - FATAL FURY: City of the Wolves keeps its knockout soundtrack streak alive with two new contributions from the underground Chilean-Swiss legend, Luciano. Marking his first original releases of the year, the duo of tracks, titled 'Alive' and 'Cielo', show a creative pivot from Luciano's stripped-down club sound, channeling vibrant open-air energy across two guitar-laden cuts. Practice your parries, as this perfectly timed combo hits streaming services worldwide on September 12.
'Alive' stands tall as a textured breakbeat track with a glowing melodic undercurrent. Guitar work drips with balearic aesthetic over a purring low-end, recalling '90s-era rave nostalgia without ever relying on pastiche. It's colorful and alive with detail, just as ready for a final round as it is an Ibizan sunrise. 'Cielo' follows in suit with a funkier upbeat tone, folding disco-house rhythms and a soft-spoken vocal chop into something bright, breezy, and ultimately transportive. Tethered by warming guitar tones, the tracks feel like two sides of the same coin: ‘Alive’ expansive and atmospheric, while ‘Cielo’ delivers a focused, dancefloor-filling punch.
Luciano's addition to the City of the Wolves soundtrack is a rare move from an artist who has spent decades shaping the scene's underground. From the basements of Santiago, Chile, to the world's biggest festival stages, Luciano's sound has always prioritized feeling over flash, with ‘Alive’ and ‘Cielo’ being no exception. With additional tracks from artists like Solomun, Alok, Steve Aoki, and Alan Walker, the new FATAL FURY soundtrack reinforces the franchise’s evolution from a fighting game classic into a global cultural force.
The single lands via SNK in collaboration with MAHOOL, a specialist cutting-edge Saudi label at the forefront of global club culture — connecting visionary electronic sounds with the iconic spirit of Fatal Fury.
Don’t forget to save, as Luciano joins the star-studded roster with 'Alive' and 'Cielo' on September 12.
